Charity Cocktail Party
What a night!!!!! The Cootharinga Charity Cocktail Party was held at A Touch of Salt Restaurant, on Friday 20 May 2011.
Over $35K in funds were raised which will go towards our Early Intervention Services for Children with Autism and our Activity and Respite Centre.
To add further excitement, this year we had a Wine theme. With the Wine Tree Fundraiser we asked guests to donate a premium bottle of wine either from their private cellar or through purchase. The wine was beautifully labelled, sharing information regarding the wine, and the person or company that donated it. There were also several anonymous donations!!! Later that evening, the donated prizes and wines were raffled and auctioned.
A degustation style matching of quality food with fine wines was served and a cellar door, operated by Jason Smith and Jane Ferrari from Yalumba, held great interest and gave guests the chance to taste the premium wines from Yalumba. Our evening featured our very special guest from Yalumba….Jane Ferrari. Much more than just a wine maker, Jane has an infectious personality and is a born story teller – when she preaches her wine gospel you realise she is doing it because she is passionate about the wine, and wouldn’t waste her breath on anything she didn’t believe in herself.
