Cootharinga Charity Race Day

            

With a  one in sixty chance to WIN A CAR  Australian Industrial Rentals and Davey Constructions had the time of their life as the winners of Cootharinga's 2011 Charity Race Day.   Donated by Parry Nissan and Townsville RSL they topped the Bonanza Tipping Competition and won the Micra Nissan!   Our lucky and very generous guest, Charles Fisher from Bank of QLD is now the very proud owner of the  BLACK CAVIAR memorabilia - a  limited edition, signed and  framed photo of Black Caviar along with a minature jersey and a wonderful dining experience with  2 of Black Caviar's owners!  Not only did our guests experience a fantastic Cox Plate day at the races but also witnessed history in the making when BLACK CAVIAR raced and won on the same day!

Cootharinga's 2012 Charity Race Day, is being held on Saturday 20 October Tatts Cox Plate Day,  and is yet again, anticipated to be an exciting and must attend, event. The highlight of the Cootharinga Charity Race day is our special feature of the Bonanza Tipping Competition, which has proven an outstanding success for four years running. All teams compete against each other to vie for the major prize, of a car. The event has proven exceptionally popular in the past with more than 300 people enjoying a fun filled day at the track in an air conditioned marquee. Cootharinga shall be continuing this successful fundraising event for a fifth year and is looking forward to yet another successful Charity Race Day.  WATCH THIS SPACE FOR THE 2012 SPONSORSHIP PROPOSAL COMING SOON!

 

The event will again be catered by International students from the Barrier Reef Institute of TAFE, and volunteers, from Townsville Grammar School, James Cook University, Cootharinga Staff, family and friends.
