Aboriginal and Torres Strait Liaison Officer
This position is Part-time located at Townsville.
Cootharinga North Queensland is a non-profit organisation, committed to working together with people we support and the community to enable people living with a disability to achieve their chosen goals.
This dynamic and exciting role will work directly with the people we support from Aboriginal and Torres Strait communities to assist them to reconnect or strengthen their connections with their Indigenous Cultures, traditions and communities. The ideal candidate will be person-centred and passionate about supporting people with disabilities.
You will have a good understanding of Indigenous Communities, cultures and traditions across North Queensland and a demonstrated capacity to build positive partnerships with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Community to enrich the lives of people with disability.
You will also work with the General Manager Community Support for ongoing training and learning for Cootharinga staff in relation to working with people from Indigenous backgrounds.
This role is ideally suited to a person who is of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander background who can also demonstrate strong connections to Aboriginal and Torres Strait communities.

This position is Part-time, Casual located at Townsville, Cloncurry, Cairns, Mackay, Tablelands, Mt Isa.
Cootharinga North Queensland is seeking enthusiastic and passionate individuals who are committed to providing the highest standard of service to support people with a disability. Cootharinga conducts recruitments for support workers four times a year, eg, February, May, August and October/November.
