Chief Executive Officer
Chief Executive Officer of Cootharinga North Queensland, Matt Kinnane, has proudly lived, worked and served in North Queensland for over twenty years. Matt commenced his career with Sunmetals then worked for 15 years in the Finance industry with two of the big four financial institutions before moving to Cootharinga North Queensland.
The combination of Matt’s lived and learned experience with disabilities, strong background in financial management, business development and relationship building has positioned him to lead Cootharinga’s next stage of growth.
Matt is also keenly involved within the community and has volunteered over the years for a number of organisations including Ewan Amateur Turf Club, Apex Club of Townsville and Ryan Catholic College P & F Association.
Matt’s passion for inclusion and accessibility within our community for all individuals serves as his driving purpose behind his commitment to serve North Queensland.
Agatha Comis has lived in Townsville for 28 years. Her experiences, along with a caring and supportive nature, have led her to a rewarding career with Cootharinga for the last 14 years, during which she has worked alongside the Executive Team and Board of Directors.
Agatha commenced her career working as a pharmacy assistant in Sydney until she was given the opportunity to join a company in the building sector as a sales assistant. With the help of some great mentors, she worked her way through different roles to gain the skills required to reach her chosen profession, also undertaking further training, such as Frontline Management, Emotional Intelligence, Project Management and Governance.
Born in Italy, where she grew up into her teens, Agatha likes to travel back and see her family when she has the opportunity.
General Manager Human Resources
Jody Goldring has been a part of the Cootharinga team since 2016 and has held various roles throughout the organisation during her time. Originally from Sydney, Jody has over 20 years’ experience in human resources, health and safety, WorkCover, risk management, State Government, property, and insurance.
With lived experience with disability and a close connection to Cootharinga’s values, Jody prides herself in her role within the organisation and as part of the Executive Leadership Team. Jody enjoys being with people and seeing them achieve their goals.
General Manager Financial
Anthony joined the Cootharinga team in 2019 and has over 20 years of experience within financial services. After graduation from JCU with a degree in Commerce, Anthony started his banking career in financial management over in London. After 5 years in London, Anthony returned to Australia continuing his banking career as a business partner. Returning back home to Townsville with his family, Anthony had an extensive career with Townsville City Council in accounts and project management prior to joining the Cootharinga team.
Within his role at Cootharinga, Anthony has enjoyed working with the many departments and people throughout the organisation as a team to deliver the organisations framework. Anthony takes great joy in working with people to achieve their goals and prides himself in his role to enable the business to support our customers and the wider community.
General Manager Risk and Compliance
Tanya joined the Cootharinga team at the start of 2021 and brings with her a strong background in Law as well as a career in governance, risk safety, and compliance. Throughout her career in Governance, Tanya has been involved in developing programs with a focus on an integrated model that drives safety change by improving processes and encourages accountability.
Although born and raised in Townsville, Tanya has just returned calling it home once again after over 25 years of travel and work around the world including U.S.A, Egypt, Canada and Europe. Working in and experiencing a variety of cultures Tanya brings with her a world of knowledge and understanding that she is excited to pass onto her teams and the organisation to assist Cootharinga in achieving its vision and purpose.
