Within the role of Area Manager, you will manage quality service delivery across multiple service areas of Cootharinga & CPL.
For the past 70 years Cootharinga North Queensland has been part of the community, working alongside people with disabilities and their families. We are committed to providing a range of tailored services that are relevant to our customers' choice and needs.
In recent years, Cootharinga has merged with CPL and so you will work across teams representing Cootharinga and CPL.
Within the role of Area Manager, you will manage quality service delivery across multiple service areas, support and grow our business and implement NDIA operational requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead operations and ensure quality service delivery across a range of services and customer segments within Townsville.
- Contribute leadership to local staff and delivery of services with a customer focus; and effectively manage resources, including human, financial, assets and capital costs efficiently.

- Maintain positive staff engagement across the region facilitating learning and development opportunities, staff check-in opportunities and succession planning efforts.
- Manage the wellbeing of staff across your area ensuring proactive support to injured workers in liaison with the Wellbeing team
- Ensure the provision and implementation of systems, software and training required to administer services in NDIS
- Strengthen brand awareness in area through local activity and a range of marketing and communication techniques that provide maximum growth opportunities and increase customer base.
- Demonstrated experience managing a range of service types for people with a disability,
- An entrepreneurial spirit with a proven track record in driving sustainable business, and in creating growth and profits, ideally in the human services sector;
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, especially the ability to effectively manage stakeholders, work with others within Cootharinga, represent the Cootharinga brand locally and grow external networks that deliver business growth and profits;
- Significant experience in leading others to work in changing environments and to deliver outstanding client service and achieve sustainable growth targets;
