As a proud member of Ability First Australia, Cootharinga North Queensland are offering FREE access to the second Virtual Disability Conference for our customers and staff.
The second Virtual Disability Conference will bring together individuals and organisations working to ensure inclusion of people with disabilities in service delivery, decision making processes, research and meaningful community involvement. This conference is for anyone interested in how we can become a more inclusive community.
The conference has a mix of keynote, panel discussion and workshop style presentations covering a broad range of topics related to inclusion of people with disabilities. Topics include innovative practice, supporting First Nations people, supporting families and children.
Over 200 delegates are expected to attend the conference from all over Australia and overseas. Delegates from the disability service sector , advocates, policy makers, support staff and researchers contribute to the conference.
The conference will have over 20 presentations over four streams;
- Finding the support that is right for you.
- Supporting choice and decision making.
- Services that people with disability want.
- Working with people with complex and high support needs.

Where: Your computer! The Virtual Disability Conference is entirely online and can be accessed with any computer with a stable internet connection. All you need is our special code to take advantage of your FREE ticket.

Accessibility: Presentations will include closed captions and Auslan interpretation. The conference will also be recorded and made available to watch at a later date.
